Monarrez
for State Representative

Flag 02.jpg

Why I'm Running for Arizona

The reason I’m running for State Representative is to continue the mission I began in the military: serving others with integrity and courage. As a combat-wounded veteran, I know what it means to sacrifice for a cause greater than myself.

I am running to ensure the Arizona Legislature does its part by supporting all LD9 cities and communities as we continue to thrive and lead our state forward. In the military, we don't leave anyone behind. I will bring that same "mission-first" mindset to the State Capitol as a voice for all LD9 citizens, ensuring our tax dollars are spent wisely, with the transparency and accountability you deserve.

Defending the Constitution

I’m running to uphold the oath I took to support and defend the Constitution. As a combat-wounded veteran, I know our rights must be protected through laws that respect freedom and limit government overreach. I will fight to defend free speech, privacy, fair elections, and the rights of law-abiding citizens in LD9.

Small Business and Education

LD9 should be a place where small businesses thrive and students graduate ready for real careers. I’ll cut red tape, expand access to capital for Main Street, and keep more local contracts here in our community. In education, I’ll support workforce-ready programs, strong teachers, and real accountability for results.

Law Enforcement: Professionalism, Support, and Accountability

Safe communities require well-supported officers and clear standards the public can trust. I will fight for competitive pay, modern equipment, and strong training, including de-escalation and crisis response. Backing law enforcement also means transparency and accountability, so officers and residents are safer.

Secure Borders, Human Dignity

Border security should be treated as a national security priority, not a political talking point. I support a bipartisan approach that stops fentanyl and illegal crossings by giving Border Patrol the tools to maintain operational control, while respecting human dignity. Arizona should not be left to handle a federal crisis alone.
